Part of the ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter space mission team, launched on 10 February 2020 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, with the following roles:
- Co-Investigator of the Metis coronagraph, part of the scientific instrumentation on board the mission andresponsible for planning software and communication
- Co-Chair of the Modeling and Data Analysis Working Group (MADAWG), established by ESA for the mission
- Spokesman of ESA for press
Member of the Organizing Committee of the “Professional-Amateur Relations in Astronomy” working group of the IAU (International Astronomical Union).
I am the author of scientific articles published in peer-reviewed in the research field of solar and stellar physics. I have participated in numerous scientific conferences.
